What is
a smart electricity monitor?
A wireless smart monitor is an electrical device that can transmit
information from your electricity meter using wireless technology,
to anywhere in your home, showing you how much electricity you are
consuming, and more importantly, how much money it is costing every
hour.
How smart monitors save money
By looking at your smart electricity monitor display, you can see
how much electricity your house is using. Over time, you will get
used to seeing how little electricity your house needs, and can
tell when lights have been left on, or when other appliances have
been left on by accident, which may be wasting electricity.
You can then turn these energy wasting appliances off, saving you
money, reducing your electricity consumption, and helping the environment
by reducing your carbon footprint.

What's the difference between a smart electricity meter and a smart electricity monitor?
A smart electricity meter is an advanced electricity usage meter that identifies consumption in more detail than a conventional electricity meter; and, generally, communicates the usage information via some network back to the local electricity company for monitoring and billing purposes.
A smart electricity monitor helps you track how much electricity you use, encouraging a reduction in energy while saving money because the monitor gives instantly an accurate reading of how much electricity you are consuming. A smart electricity monitor does not generally report it's findings back to the electricity company.
